About Us
Pro-Metrics is a private, independent academic publisher founded in 2020 under the name ColNes Publishing and relaunched in 2023 with its current identity. Since its inception, the publisher has established itself as a multidisciplinary publishing space that combines academic rigor, editorial innovation, and a strong commitment to transparency.
Pro-Metrics does not receive public funding. The company’s operations are fully supported by APC payments for journals and books, the sale of academic titles, and the provision of specialized publishing services. This independence enables us to maintain full autonomy and ensure that every editorial decision is based solely on academic and ethical criteria.
Our audience comprises researchers, academic institutions, graduate students, conference organizers, and professionals seeking to disseminate their work in a high-quality, international setting. We publish a diverse portfolio of scientific journals, book series, and monographs covering all areas of knowledge, with a focus on publications in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
All content is subject to peer review under transparent arbitration models and in accordance with Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines. The publishing house’s management does not interfere in editorial decisions regarding the materials to be published, ensuring the academic independence of each publication. We actively promote open access as a core principle of our editorial mission. All our journals are published under open models, and most of our books are also available in open access, depending on the publication model agreed with each author or institution.
Pro-Metrics, headquartered in Europe with an international reach, aims to strengthen scientific communication, increase the visibility of research, and offer the academic community an ethical, inclusive, and global publishing ecosystem.
Mission
Pro-Metrics’ mission is to advance scientific communication worldwide by publishing high-quality, peer-reviewed academic journals and books available in multiple languages. As an independent, self-sustaining publisher, we aim to create a transparent and ethical environment that supports researchers, institutions, and academic communities in sharing rigorous knowledge globally. This effort helps foster more informed and critical societies.
Vision
We aim to become an international leader in independent academic publishing, known for our methodological rigor, dedication to open access, and ability to highlight diverse voices across all disciplines.
