Editorial Roles

We distinguish between different types of editorial responsibilities:

Volume Editors

Coordinate an edited volume or conference proceedings, from proposal to peer review and final publication.

Series Editors

Oversee the long-term development and visibility of a thematic book series.

Journal Editors

Editor-in-Chief

Leads the overall editorial strategy and workflow of a journal.

Editorial Board Members

Provide academic guidance and advise on editorial decisions across journals and series.

Guest and Volume Editors

Oversee special issues or edited volumes, coordinating reviews and ensuring coherence and quality.

Responsibilities of Editors

Editors at Pro-Metrics are expected to:

  • Conduct fair and timely evaluations of proposals and manuscripts.
  • Ensure peer review is conducted ethically, transparently, and in alignment with COPE standards.
  • Declare conflicts of interest and avoid situations that compromise objectivity.
  • Promote the publication within their academic networks.
  • Support the long-term visibility and quality of Pro-Metrics publications.
